One Day Adventures

Our One Day Adventures will get your class outdoors in the fresh air, hiking together as a group and learning new skills as they go. We are based in Northern Surrey, just off junction 13 of the M25, within a hop, skip and jump of the beautiful Windsor Great Park.

– Suitable for year 2 to year 12

There are three adventurous routes to choose from.

Route 1Hiking, Nature & Games – Backwoods cooking

9:00 – Meet at Green Outdoors HQ in Kings Lane, Englefield Green, Surrey TW20 0EE
head to Windsor Great Park for 3 to 5 mile hike
Shelter Building
Scavenger hunt
Blind trail
Bird / Duck watching
12:30 arrive back at Green Outdoors HQ
12:45 prepare Backwoods cooking lunch
13:15 Lunch & Dessert
14:00 Fire circle marshmallows and songs
15:00 Depart

Virginia Water – Cascade and Roman Ruins
Totem Poll – Obelisk Pond
Hike through the Deer Park
The Copper Horse – Views of Windsor Castle
Orienteering

Hike & History of Runnymede

9:00 – Meet at Green Outdoors HQ in Kings Lane (TW20 0EE)
Head to Runnymede for a 4 mile hike
Coopers Hill, past Air Memorial
Down to Magna Carta memorial and Jurors chairs
Hike along the Thames tow-path
JFK Memorial
12:30 arrive back at Green Outdoors HQ
12:45 prepare Backwoods cooking lunch
13:15 Lunch & Dessert
14:00 Fire circle marshmallows and songs
